Body is found in block of flats
A MAN’S body was found in a block of flats in Stockport on Monday afternoon.
The man, believed to be in his forties, was discovered in the property on Victoria Park, Offerton.
Police are not treating his death as suspicious, a GMP spokeswoman has confirmed.
A neighbour said she first saw officers arriving at the address just after 3pm on Monday.
She said: “At first there were about three police cars, then about three CSIs arrived at the scene.
“Three forensic officers kept going in and out of the flat, while police waited outside.”
Officers were first called to the address by concerned neighbours at about 3pm.
A GMP spokeswoman said: “A body was found in a flat on Victoria Park on Wednesday afternoon.
“His death is being treated as nonsuspicious.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish who his next-of-kin are.”
