OCTOBER is shaping up to be one of our busiest months with so many exciting events planned.

Seven Miles Out is a great venue for a get together and we are delighted that so many Stockport-based community groups and organisations have chosen us as a place to host their special events.

In a couple of weeks we will be partnering with Ebony and Ivory Community Organisation to host a screening of the I Am Not Your Negro for Black History Month. More details on that coming soon.

This Thursday evening we welcome the return of A Laugh In Stockport after a couple of months’ summer break. It’s not been the same without them and so we hope you will join us for an evening of mirth and merriment with more first-class stand-up comedy up close and personal with Danny McLoughlin.

Sharp material and quick wits have seen Danny firmly establish himself as one of the country’s premier comics.

A highly regarded MC and sought after name on any circuit bill, Danny regularly performs at the UK’s biggest clubs including; The Comedy Store, The Glee Clubs and Komedia, as well as having appeared at many of the country’s music festivals including Latitude and Leeds.

During his career Danny has also supported a number of acts on tour including; Sean Lock, Micky Flanagan, Sarah Millican and Doc Brown. Gracing our small screens Danny has also appeared on ‘One Night Stand’ for Channel Dave and the ‘Premier League Show’ for BBC Two. Danny McLoughlin is a class act. […] His innate comic timing, insightful digressions and ability to think on his feet puts him alongside the most talented and genuinely funny comedians.” – Three Weeks

Joining Danny will be Jay Hampson and guest MC Lewis Charlesworth plus lots more comedy acts. Get your tickets under the counter from Seven Miles Out or book online to secure your seats at www. stockportcomedy.co.uk

On Friday at 7.30pm we have our monthly Twang! hosted by the wonderful folks from The Stockport Ukulele Players.

There is nothing more joyous than 50 ukulele players singing and strumming along and they are never short of an appreciative audience.

All ages are welcome to join us for our most unique and engaging musical social evening.

Saturday promises to be a big night out as Stockport’s young indie rock ’n’ roll rebels Kashmere raise the roof.

These likely lads are destined for great things and always put on an amazing energetic show. If you haven’t yet had the pleasure, make sure you don’t miss this gig. Kashmere know how to dish up slices of perfect indie pop with shimmering guitars, soaring melodies and multi-layered vocals as demonstrated with their singles ‘Blow Your Mind,’ ‘Porcelain’ and the infectious ‘Hoxton.’

They are the natural successors to Blossoms so don’t miss this opportunity to see them at Seven Miles Out with great support from Scarlet Fever and Carnation.

It’s free so arrive early and claim your place.
