Stockport Express

HARVEST festival has just about come to an end now.

The Wellspring has received a bumper harvest this year, as the schools, churches and other organisations have been very generous with the donations they have made to The Wellspring.

The donations during harvest festival keep The Wellspring in food for 12 months. It has been a humbling experience visiting our primary and secondary schools collecting the harvest donations.

Thanks so much to everyone who has donated to The Wellspring this harvest festival.

The Wellspring is running two campaigns this winter - firstly the Rucksack Project will return for a fifth year and we are looking for help in distributing leaflets around Stockport and looking for extra volunteers to get involved with project, helping to run the event and handle all the donations that the project receives.

If you are interested in helping out with The Rucksack Project or volunteering at The Wellspring this winter, please do get in touch.

Volunteering applications can be made online at www. thewellspring.co.uk.

The Wellspring will also be running a Christmas dinner campaign.

Christmas can be such a difficult time of year for many people, especially if you are rough sleeping or homeless.

For every donation of £5 that the Wellspring receives, we will provide someone in need with a full Christmas dinner and a gift.

We are looking for local businesses to help The Wellspring with Christmas collections.

If you would like to support The Wellspring Christmas dinner campaign or The Rucksack Project please call 01614776344 or email jonathan@ thewellspring.co.uk.
