Reward for foster family children

-

AN EVENT to reward the important contribution of sons and daughters of foster carers gave them a spring in their step.

As part of the national Sons and Daughters campaign more than 40 youngsters aged five to 18 visited Jump Heaven Trampoline Park, in Hazel Grove. The children enjoyed two hours on the trampoline, parkour, the Total Wipeout arena and ninja warrior activities.

Mayor and Consort of Stockport, Councillor Linda Holt and Ken Holt, also came to the event.

Councillor Colin Foster, executive member for children and family services, said: “The fostering service always holds this annual event as it is important to acknowledge and celebrate the huge contribution made by birth sons and daughters.

“These children do a fantastic job in welcoming foster children into their homes as fostering really does have a significant impact on the whole household.

“I am delighted that Stockport council continues to hold this important event to reward them.”
