Young boxers in action

TWO young boxers from Stockport College Amateur Boxing Club did their borough proud at a recent competition.

Nial Moran won the Northwest Regional National Association of Boys and Girls Club Championships on Saturday, November 11 and will now move forward to the national quarter finals.

Stockport College student Ben McLenahan reached the semi-finals before losing to Siddiq Horia from Longsight.

Both will be showing off their skills at an amateur boxing show being held at the College on Friday, December 1. Doors will open at 7pm with the first bell at 8pm and tickets will be available on the door at £10 (£6 concessions).

There will be a licensed bar and food available.
