Affordable homes scheme provides new properties
VIADUCT Housing Partnership’s Bulkeley Street development in Edgeley has been officially opened.
This new development is available for affordable rent and provides 20 new homes for families in the borough.
Of the 20 properties, 12 are two-bedroom houses, built to blend in with the existing style of properties in the area.
The remaining properties are six one-bedroom apartments and two two-bedroom, adapted apartments.
These properties are in a self-contained ●●Robin Burman, Viaduct Housing Partnership; Coun Sheila Bailey, Helen McHale, Stockport Homes Group and Phil Wiggett of Wiggett Construction apartment block called Sykes Court, which was named by local school children from St Matthew’s Primary School. The children were asked to come up with a name for the development based on local landmarks or features.
Councillor Sheila Bailey said: “These fantastic new properties will provide much-needed homes in the borough.”
