LOCAL estate agent Gascoigne Halman is supporting the One Big Wish Appeal, a fundraising campaign for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

The One Big Wish Appeal is raising funds to support specialist virtual reality and pain distraction therapy equipment for young patients, helping to take their minds off the painful treatments they face during their time in hospital.

To support the appeal, people can donate either money or a toy.

Every Gascoigne Halman office will be collecting both toys and monetary donations towards the appeal.

John Halman, managing director of Gascoigne Halman, said, “We are looking forward to supporting Royal Children’s Hospital Charity again this year. In 2012, we raised £9,498.08 for the charity and we are hoping we can make a big difference to the children and their families who might be going through a difficult time in hospital.

“After the bomb explosion at the Manchester Arena, the majority of the children injured from the attack were treated at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

“All of the doctors, surgeons, nurses and staff did an incredible job and we look forward to giving something back to such an amazing place.”

Sarah Naismith, head of charities for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “We are delighted that Gascoigne Halman is supporting the One Big Wish Appeal this year.” »»You can donate at www.justgiving.com/ fundraising/gascoignehalman.
