As fans agree to Wellspring appeal

-

support of the Stockport homeless charity The Wellspring.

Supporters are urged to support this worthy cause, and bring their donations of food (canned foods, tea, coffee, sugar, meats, cereals etc), hats, gloves, scarves, fleeces, any warm clothing really, and if possible, trainers, ruck sacks, basic toiletries, underwear, socks or sleeping bags to the Cheadle End Cabin on the day of County’s game with Spennymoor Town - 9 December. Donations can be left between 1.30 and 2.40.

The annual ‘Christmas Cavort’ this year will go ahead at the Spinning Top (next to the Garrick Theatre on the A6) on the evening of the same day 9 December, and more details of this popular event will follow possibly next week.

Our participation in this year’s Stockport County Christmas Carol Concert, was confirmed with the added fact that we would again be supplying a quantity of mince pies, which went down well last year.

As well as enjoying the support of the Stockport County Club, the Supporters Cooperative, and Stockport family church.org.uk, the event is designed to support the Wellspring, and in this respect the Cooperative will ensure that the Cheadle End Cabin is open to allow people to donate to our Wellspring Appeal. So, the date for this is Sunday 17 December.

The event starts at 3pm, but Wellspring donations can be left at the cabin from 2pm.
