Seven Miles Out

- Rosemary Barratt

CAN’T believe it’s Christmas week already and if you are looking for something a bit different to do in the run up to the big day, we have some great events lined up for you in what will be our last Christmas at Seven Miles Out...

Thursday: At 7.30pm we are delighted to welcome the return of the Christmas Cryptic Quiz, hosted by our lovable, quirky quizmaster Paul Jardine.

Paul developed the quiz two years ago, and it proved really popular. He put in so much hard work to make it sociable and fun.

We are so grateful to Paul for the many memorable evenings in Seven Miles Out that we’ve enjoyed with a wonderful community of people.

If you love a good entertaining quiz in a convivial atmosphere, why not join us with a team of up to four people?

Entry is just £1 per person. There will be great prizes to be won and we guarantee you a fabulous night with our lovely community.

Friday: Get ready for our Christmas Knees Up. We’re going to crank up the Christmas tunes and invite anyone along who would like to play a seasonal song.

It’s very relaxed and impromptu, so if you haven’t yet experienced Seven Miles Out, why not pop in for a Christmas drink and who knows what might be happening!

Perhaps we can even persuade John to do his best Noddy Holder impression?

Saturday: This is our big Christmas Retro Party night from 8pm when we host a double whammy celebration with Sound and Vision.

Not only a big Christmas night out, it’s also the very significant birthday of Victoria Collard, a wonderful and special lady who along with her amazing husband Rick and lovely son James has played such an important part in keeping our events going here at Seven Miles Out.

The Collard family are inspirational people who, for over two years, have tirelessly driven the monthly Sound and Vision vinyl night, creating a wonderful event with a special ambience that is loved by so many, as well as establishing a fantastic community of people that keep coming back to Seven Miles Out.

The Collards, along with the many other wonderful families and local people who have given us such loyal support over the past four years, are what has made Seven Miles Out such an intimate and engaging venue and why it has been such an honour and a pleasure for us to host these events for the community of Stockport.

We hope you can venture down this week to sample the special atmosphere at Seven Miles Out and we wish you all a very Happy Christmas.
