Seven Miles Out

- Rosemary Barratt

IT’S hard to believe that we have arrived at our penultimate Foodie Friday taking place this Good Friday in Seven Miles Out.

It’s always a fantastic evening with live music from 6pm right through the evening. You are welcome to join us and bring in your street food to be entertained by a great line-up of local talent.

Our bottle bar will be open with a great selection of Robinsons ales, lager, cider, wines, spirits and soft drinks.

Over the past four years Seven Miles Out has given a platform to many up and coming new artists from Stockport and this Good Friday we are delighted to welcome two young local singersongwriters Ava Bielderman and Livvymay who will be making their debut performances for us early doors.

We are also welcoming back talented duo Lucy and Izzy from Bramhall who have been great supporters of our venue and perform classic songs with amazing harmonies.

We truly believe these girls will go far if they decide to embark on a music career but at just 15 years old, their level of musicianship and professionalism is

astounding.

Stockport Ukulele Players are wonderful people who have been with us throughout our Seven Miles Out journey and we are looking forward to them playing at Foodie Friday bringing a true sense of community to our event.

Join us for a proper good sing-song as they play a set full of fantastic favourites and feel the love in the room!

After nine o’clock we’ve got a treat for mod fans of all ages as The Tall Faces return to Seven Miles Out with a set packed full of sixties’ classics including The Small Faces and The Who.

This is a band not to be missed and they will rock the house, no doubt bringing more of our ceiling down!

We are very excited that our headline band for Good Friday Foodie Friday is the very awesome Blank Cheque.

Tom and Josh have been playing at our events for the past six years and they couldn’t have been more supportive of everything we’ve done in Stockport including the Stockport Old Town music and arts festivals and The Teenage Market.

Blank Cheque played at our first ever event in Seven Miles Out just after we’d moved here in December 2013 and entertained everybody wearing their Christmas jumpers. The band are now a four-piece and have gone from strength to strength establishing a reputation for being a first class live band proud to be from Stockport.

This will be an especially emotional night as it’s the last time Blank Cheque will play Seven Miles Out and we would encourage everyone to come down and sample the Foodie Friday experience where everyone feels involved and joins the party.

If you are looking for a great night out to start your Easter weekend we really hope you can join us for a very special Stockport evening. For more information on our up and coming events or to share your Seven Miles Out memories visit www. sevenmilesoutarts.co.uk
