AT first glance, a play about a family coming to terms with the death of their child may not seem like the most engaging of nights out.

But David LindsayAbaire’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Rabbit Hole provides a nuanced, intriguing view of this tragic situation.

Introducing a couple who once had everything before losing their son in a road accident, LindsayAbaire explores what’s required to rebuild their shattered lives: how they deal with their grief and form new relationships with each other and the people around them including others involved in the incident.

It’s a story not just of sadness but also of compassion, selfawareness, hope and even humour.

With the emotions made all the more intense in the confines of the Garrick’s intimate Studio performance space, anyone who visits the theatre to gain an insight into different types of human experience won’t be disappointed.

Rabbit Hole will be performed at Stockport Garrick Theatre between May 16-19, starting at 7.30pm each evening.

Tickets are £8 each / £7 concession (WednesdayThursday only).
