Cheadle celebrate new look at Wembley

-

CHEADLE Town FC, one of the two non-league football club winners of this year’s Buildbase Club Renovation Programme celebrated their success in style with a pitch-side presentation at Wembley Stadium connected by EE.

Members of the club received champagne from Buildbase during half-time of the FA Vase match on Non-League Finals Day and were hosted by the company in the Bobby Moore Diamond Hospitality Suite.

The club is now at the beginning of the process to refurbish its facilities with the help of the £50k Buildbase product bursary, which includes building, electrical and hire products provided by local Buildbase branches.

Cheadle Town FC plans to open up its facilities to new girls’, women’s and disability teams as well as upgrading the clubhouse, changing rooms, showers and converting a shipping container into an outdoor café.

Ian McConville, Procurement Director at Buildbase said: “This is our second year giving clubs competing in the Buildbase FA Trophy and FA Vase competitions the chance to win vital building supplies to help renovate their facilities. This is about giving something back to the community and putting our money where our mouth is.”

As well as welcoming this year’s Renovation Programme winners to Wembley, Buildbase added to the Non-League Finals Day festivities with Football Freestylers showing exceptional ball skills plus a #BuildbaseGameFace competition featuring selfies of supporters’ best “game faces”.

Last year, the Buildbase Club Renovation Programme provided £100,000 of building, electrical and hire products available for two clubs – Hanwell Town FC and Cleethorpes Town FC – both of which have made significant improvements to their facilities.
