More trophies won by Homes Group
STOCKPORT Homes Group has won the titles of both Landlord of the Year and Best Digital Inclusion Initiative at this year’s Northern Housing Awards.
The winners were announced at a ceremony that was held at the Midland Hotel in Manchester on May 16.
These awards promote and celebrate innovative affordable housing providers, projects and services in the north that are helping to create great communities where people love to live.
Stockport Homes won the Landlord of the Year award for its passion in delivering services that go far beyond being a traditional landlord.
The award for Best Digital Inclusion Initiative was won for the partnership between Stockport Homes and Starting Point Community Learning and their work towards tackling digital and social exclusion in communities, providing equipment, trainers and drop-in sessions.
Robin Burman, chair of Stockport Homes’ board, said: “To be the winners of two categories is a great achievement and we are extremely proud to be making such a positive contribution to Stockport’s residents and the local community.
“To be recognised as Landlord of the Year is especially a great testimony to the fantastic work of our team and the focus we put on our customers.”
Stockport Homes Group has also received a bronze award for the approach taken to staff reward and recognition at the UK Employee Experience Awards 2018.
The awards recognise and celebrate the organisations, teams and individuals who are achieving excellence in employee experience.
Robin Burman, chair of the board, said: “We are proud to have been recognised with this award, which shows how passionate we are about our people, acknowledging individual and team contributions to achieving our mission of ‘One team, transforming lives’.”
