Cheshire dominate

CHESHIRE Golf Union junior boys enjoyed good weather and greens in excellent condition at Crewe Golf Club for the match between Cheshire and Shropshire and Herefordshire u14s and u16 boys.

Cheshire got off to a flier as they led the morning foursomes by 4.5 to 1.5 with wins, in some close games, for Jack Muir (Styal) and Liam Mann (Bramhall), Alex Lamb (Marple) and Ben Lee (Ringway), George Livesey (Crewe) and Jack McCrindle (Prenton) and Frank Kennedy (Prestbury) and Ben Currie (Withington) with Sam Johnson (Astbury) and Nathan Newton (Upton) halving their match.

Cheshire then dominated the afternoon singles by 10-2.
