DINOSAURS ON LOOSE IN TOWN CENTRE:
HUGE crowds gathered in Stockport town centre last Saturday as the town centre went totally Jurassic.
The first Totally Dinosaur Takeover Day saw a herd of prehistoric reptiles taking giant steps and strutting around Redrock and Prince’s Street, Merseyway and Mersey Square and St Peter’s ‘Jurassic’ Square.
Organised by Merseyway, Totally Stockport and the Light Cinema, Saturday was packed full of free fun and entertainment for all the family and included a Dinosaur Park compete with Jurassic jeep, walkabouts from Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptor and Dino babies.
On stage to entertain the crowds was children’s presenter Andy Day and the colourful Trolls were back with their unique song and dance display.
A Dinosaur Day Out wouldn’t be complete without the Flintstones with Fred’s incredible stone wheeled ‘footmobile’ parked up in Mersey Square alongside rides of the kiddie’s fairground.
