Insurance support helps outreach team

-

STAFF at The Wellspring have been providing outreach services for many years now, going out on the streets providing support and services directly to homeless people.

Over the last few years we have been able to do far more of this kind of work as we now have a small van which was gifted to The Wellspring charity by Cardinal Maritime.

I am delighted that C&C insurance brokers in Stockport have provided the insurance premium for another 12 months, this will ensure that our outreach services can continue.

We will be able to support more people and respond to reports from members of the public and local businesses who we encourage to let us know when they have seen someone homeless or rough sleeping in Stockport.

Amanda Bramwell of C&C said: “We are delighted to continue our support of The Wellspring, it’s such a fantastic charity and any barrier if you cannot get access to a computer.

Additionally, it is challenging for many people as they do not have the computer skills needed to do this.

Having the iPads in place at The Wellspring is a vital community resource that is very well used.

People are able to manage the appropriate skills and, in many cases, people are learning new skills as they get to grips with technology.

CDL in Stockport have been providing support and equipment for The Wellspring to get this new service up and running.

The Wellspring would like to thank both C&C insurance brokers and CDL in Stockport for the support they have given us.

These are three fantastic examples of how local businesses can give to charity and be confident that the charity giving they are doing is having a local impact and is directly supporting some of the most disadvantaged people in Stockport.
