Clock ticking for Local Fund cash
IS your great idea ready to apply to Stockport Local Fund?
There’s just one week to go until applications are open for the Stockport Local Fund.
With £1 million available to support local activities and projects, this is a big opportunity.
Anyone can apply – funding will range from £200 up to £10,000 per project.
If you’ve never done anything like this before or you need a little help developing your idea, there’s still plenty of time to get support.
Take a look at Stockport council web pages to find out how to get the help you need developing or organising your ideas and events and how to get in touch with us.
You’ll also find plenty of inspiration from the wonderful local projects that are already happening across Stockport.
Alternatively, attend one of the workshops details are available at stockport.gov.uk/ events/?tag= SLFworkshops.
Coun Elise Wilson, cabinet member for reform and governance at Stockport council, said: “We know that you have lots of wonderful ideas on how to make your neighbourhoods even better.
“We want you to suggest new ideas that we could invest in and you could grow, together with your friends and neighbours.
“The Stockport Local Fund can help bring your ideas to life.”
Applications for the first round of funding must be made between Monday, July 9 and Sunday, August 5.
The online application process is quick and easy. You can even submit it on your mobile phone.
If you’re not quite ready at this point, the good news is there will be more opportunities to apply in the near future.
Sign up on the web pages for regular updates on the fund, including future application dates.
