Stockport Old Town
IF you are looking for a good quality food, drink and entertainment offer this week, look no further than Stockport Old Town.
With unique venues such as the Bakers Vaults, Remedy Bar and Brewhouse, The Allotment Vegan Restaurant, Where The Light Gets In and The Petersgate Tap, there’s no doubt that there’s a food and drink revolution taking place in Stockport that has been spearheaded by the success of Foodie Friday every last Friday of the month, the catalyst for attracting so many exciting new bars and restaurants to the area.
Two years ago Foodie Friday was awarded the Best Pop-up Event, Club or Project at the prestigious Manchester Food and Drink Festival and this year it has been nominated again, a testament to its popularity as one of the best community street food social gatherings in the north west.
It’s fantastic that several of Foodie Friday’s regular street food traders have also been nominated at the Manchester Food and Drink Festival - Oh Mei Dumpling and Nasi Lemak for the Best Street Food Award and Lord of the Pies for Affordable Eats venue of the year.
Having built up a large and loyal following for their popular eatery on St Petersgate, Lord of the Pies was recently awarded Best Producer at the Stockport Food and Drink Awards.
The Allotment Vegan Restaurant has been nominated as Out of Town Venue of the Year.
Where The Light Gets In is nominated in four categories at the Manchester Food and Drink Festival including Restaurant of the Year, Premium and Fine Dining Venue and Best Chef in Sam Buckley.
Stockport Old Town is fast becoming a mustvisit destination for an eclectic food and drink offer so you will always find something unique and interesting.
