Cooperative recruitment drive
Cooperative’s abilities organisationally speaking, the Stockport County Club, and the town.
John reported a provisional surplus of circa £3500, with an additional £1700 accruing via Matthew White’s efforts as a ‘Guardian Account Hero.’
This will shortly send the Guardian Account beyond £50k, and that is very pleasing indeed!
There are numerous events coming up all requiring the Cooperative board’s attention.
First off, on Sunday 30 September at the Spinning Top, Cooperative member Phil Robinson is promoting ‘WoodStockport’ an all day music festival in support of the Cooperative’s Guardian Account. This is always a tremendous event and entry is free, so please give this a try.
A ‘Table Top Sale’ is contemplated, and whilst a date has not been firmed up for this, notionally the Bungalow has been agreed on as the venuemore details soon on this!
Looking further ahead to December the Cooperative will be running an appeal on behalf of Stockport’s magnificent homeless charity The Wellspring’ .
This will go ahead on Saturday 8 December and supporters are urged to bring donations of food and warm clothing to the Cheadle End Car Park for that date.
Add another ‘Xmas Carol Concert’ in the Insider Suite, and our ‘Christmas Cavort’ (venue and date to be decided) and it is clear that the board is going to be busy.
