IT is some weeks since I gave early notice of the upcoming AGM for the Supporters Cooperative.

Since then plans have slightly been thrown awry by the demise of our chosen venue for this important event, the Bungalow Club on Hardcastle Road.

Consequently we have, by necessity, needed a rapid re-think which has happened resulting in this announcement through the pages of Stockport Express that the AGM will now take place on Monday 26 November 2018 at the Spinning Top, 20 Wellington Road South, Stockport SK4 1AA at 7.30pm. The formal AGM will be followed by an informal meeting, details to be decided.

Definitive details and the agenda will be included with the formal Calling Notice for the meeting, which will be sent out to all members week commencing Monday 29 October.

Co-op Board Elections – nominations closing date Wednesday 21 November 2018. The AGM is far and away the most important event in the Supporters Cooperative calendar, and a chance for members to decide policy . In this respect a number of vacancies for the Cooperative board exist this year , thus members are invited to stand for election to fill these positions.

Peter Towey, Andy Burt, Ed Keane and Andy Plant are continuing as elected members.

Damian Beaumont, Ian Brown and John Giles have now reached the end of their three year term and must stand down. As the Board are already carrying two vacancies, this leaves three positions with a three year term and two vacancies with a one year term to make up the maximum of nine directors. As Matthew White, Steve Murray and Paul Thompson were co-opted onto the Board
