Nurturing support for future generations
STOCKPORT County have always worked assiduously to encourage families and young children especially to Edgeley Park to enjoy the match day experience.
Amongst numerous initiatives and schemes of recent years, County’s ‘Community Ticket Initiative’ always stood out as one deserving of support, which is what the Supporters Cooperative were most happy to do when last this successful scheme was tried.
And when we heard of the initiative’s reintroduction this season, we were pleased to offer our support again.
We fully recommend this to you, and are delighted to pass on to you the Club’s statement on the subject.
“Stockport County FC are delighted to announce the return of our successful community ticket initiative aimed at junior football / sports clubs and local community groups. This scheme enables youngsters and their families to enjoy a free game at Edgeley Park, with the aim of building our fan base for the future. We are looking to raise £1,000 initially so that we can offer 500 free tickets to the community. The Stockport County Supporters Co-operative have got the ball rolling, with a donation of £300.
“Last season the organisations that benefited from this scheme included Autisk, Adswood United, FC Mavericks, Stockport Dynamoes, Reddish Vale, SEND, Spurley Hey u10s and u14s, Ashton on Mersey JFC, Cheadle and Gatley FC and Rose Hill.”
