Caroline on course for a vintage year

- GOLF GEOFF GARNETT

CAROLINE McGeorge has been one of Bramhall Golf Club’s top lady players since she joined her beloved club in 2002 with a best handicap of six and a very impressive current one of eight.

In her previous life she used to be a finance director and then she found the golf club – and the rest is history!

Caroline said: “I am delighted and honoured to be the Lady Captain where the ladies section is such a community and the support we have within it is invaluable to me - we have an excellent standard of golf and in my opinion the best in the area.

“I have had a number of golfing highlights in my life and these include winning the pro-am at Birkdale with Lexi Thompson and attending the Hero tournament in the Bahamas at Albany and mixing with all the players for the golf and the parties with Tiger, Justin Rose, Adam Scott, Ricky Fowler , Matt Kuchar, Jordon Speith it was amassing - a real one off!

“My favourite hole at Bramhall is the 17th - it’s quite a long hole for the ladies and to get on in two is a real challenge one that I don’t achieve very often but so satisfying when you do and I’ve been very lucky and played some gorgeous courses and hard to choose my favourite between Harbour Town and Spyglass.

“Our chosen Captain’s Charity for the year is The Christie charity because it’s a place very personal to a lot of our members unfortunately.”
