Members drive lifted by host of benefits
BUOYED by the news that the Guardian Account had surged beyond £60k to a new high of £60,328, the Stockport County Supporters Cooperative started to firm up their plans for a drive to attract more County fans into membership this week.
Discussions with the Club have ensured that plans are currently well advanced for the introduction of an exciting package of benefits for Supporters Cooperative members.
Amongst the new benefits will be the following:Priority access ( after season ticket holders, but before any open sale) to County away tickets, which will be a boon for our members.
Also lined up are generous discounts at County pre match Corporate Hospitality for Coop members.
We will also be staging a number of ‘Coop Members Only ‘ events with a facility for nonmembers to sign up on the night.
These events include a photo session at which Cooperative members can get their photo taken, by a professional photographer, with the National North Championship trophy won by County last season.
Also planned are members only ‘Meet Your Heroes’ evenings with current or former County players as guest speakers at a ‘Questions and Answers’ session.
We feel that , added to all the work the Cooperative does in ensuring County supporters voice is heard at County board level, and the other significant events we organise that have such an impact of the local community ( Community Ticket Initiative, Hatters Half Marathon etc) these new benefits should excite County fans.
In this respect we have established a new membership category ( 16 to 25 years) for a fantastic £3 per annum.
And, if sufficient younger County fans sign up, we will look at providing a seat on the SCSC board for the 16-25 membership who give such valuable support to County on match days.
