WHAT you’ve been saying on our Facebook page:

●●RESIDENTS’ fears over hospital parking overspill (‘SNAG residents voice parking scheme fears’ page 7):

Julie Yates: So Chris and Steve are complaining about not being able to park outside their house, but also don’t want a residents parking permit scheme? Yvonne Collins: Staff should be able to park on the car park behind the Rising Sun and they should put a shuttle bus on to the hospital. Juliah Clegg: I think residents should get free permits and if you don’t have a permit you get a ticket simple. There is a free car park with cameras at the park and ride that no one uses and the buses are every 10 mins. Izzy Bolton: Residents should not have to pay to park outside their house! They pay road tax! Nicola Hawley: All this will do is make money for the council!

●●DISMAY at Bramhall High School inspection (‘Furious head hits out at Ofsted report’, page 4):

Michelle McCulloch: Totally unjust Ofsted report! It’s incredible really...as a professional that visits many schools in my working day, I feel that the focus should be on the schools that ‘stage’ their school for Ofsted visits. Jill Gray: The new framework is not fit for purpose unless that purpose is to spread negativity and reduce the number of teachers in the profession and who want to join it. The framework is built on negativity and deep dives are anything but. John Bourke: My son enjoyed it there and left with decent grades so can’t fault the school. It’s all subjective this Ofsted lark anyway, I wouldn’t take too much notice. Alison Smith: Fantastic school, my son loves it there every child whatever their interest or ability has opportunities to get involved and be engaged. The staff are fantastic, encouraging and supportive the results they get back this up. Belinda Blanshard: The school has improved 100% since Mrs Fox has been there. The changes have all been for the right reason which is to benefit the students. The staff are amazing and I for one can not thank the school enough for what they have done for my children there, one just left and one in yr9 .... well done to all the staff keep going x Aliya Haris: The school is doing great! My son is so happy there. Do not at all agree with their recent report. Sylvia Knight: The exam boards have been putting pressure on all schools to teach a 3-year GCSE course. This is in essence a financial decision as the boards try to maximise their share of the market. Ofsted will be cracking down on all schools not teaching a full 3-year key stage 3, which is almost all of them. So schools have to choose between maximising GCSE grades or Ofsted grading.
