AFTER MOVING FROM MEADOW MILL THINGS HAVE ONLY GOT BETTER
PeAR Mill Beds and Furniture is celebrating a successful second year in its new home.
The independent store was previously located at Meadow Mill - trading under the name Meadow Mill Furniture and Bed company. But back in september 2017, it moved to a new 24,000 sq ft facility, which provides much greater space to display its fantastic range of oak furniture, sliding wardrobes and beds.
Pear Mill now houses the largest independent bed department in the UK.
“it has been a very successful move,” said managing director Laurence savory, who has more than 33 years’ experience in the furniture industry.
“Pear Mill is a much more wellknown mill and the response from customers has been extraordinary.
“However, two years on, we still hear from old customers who have only just found out we’ve moved!
“We greatly enjoyed our time at Meadow Mill so i hope all our old customers will find us here at Pear Mill.”
STEEPED IN HISTORY
Pear Mill was one of the last cotton spinning mills to be built in the country. The building of the mill commenced back in July 1913, having originally been designed to spin the best egyptian cottons to be exported worldwide. The vast showroom is located on the banks of the River Goyt in stockport. The grade-ii listed building houses multiple businesses offering customers a wide range of services all under one roof. Outside the mill there is ample free parking meaning that customers are free to browse through the 40 businesses at their leisure. The other businesses that are currently trading within the mill include an Adidas outlet store, vintage emporium and tea rooms, DiY school, Awesome Walls, R&R Kitchens and Bathrooms and, of course, Pear Mill Beds and Furniture, to name just a few.
