FAMILY tributes have been paid to a ‘loving husband’ and ‘fantastic father’ who tragically died in a horror crash.

James Lowick was behind the wheel of a black Zenos E10 convertible when it collided with a 4x4 on Bramhall Lane South in Bramhall on October 31.

The 45-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr Lowick, who grew up in Cheadle Hulme, lived in Hazel Grove with his wife Rossella and young son John-James.

The dad-of-one was the owner of Audi Doctor in Stockport, which he ran with Rossella.

In a statement released by his family and the company, Mr Lowick was said to have been ‘well-known for his flamboyant shoes and shirts.’ He was also a muchloved face on the Bramhall and Cheshire social scene.

The tribute, in full, reads:

“James Lowick, loving husband to Rossella and fantastic father to young son John-James, was tragically taken from us in a road traffic accident in Bramhall on October 31, aged just 45.

“A 200-strong gathering of family and friends attended his funeral on Friday, November 22, then celebrated his life at Piccolino Bramhall.

“Known to many as the

Audi Doctor, James was a highly respected, dedicated career master technician, performance and car tuning specialist, with an unparalleled depth of knowledge for vehicles from the Volkswagen Group, including Audi, VW, Seat, Skoda, Porsche, Bentley and Lamborghini.

“Growing up in Cheadle Hulme, both his dad and grandfather were in the motor trade so a passion for cars came at an early age, often helping his Dad in the garage and pretending to repair toy cars.

“After schooling, he started his career with independents, moving to Jeep and then Audi. James’ ambition and years of hard work gave him the necessary experience and knowledge to start his own garage, Audi Doctor, in 2006.

“Well-known for his flamboyant shoes and shirts, James became a much-loved face on the social scene in Bramhall and Cheshire.

“Here in 2014, he met

Bramhall Piccolino manager, Rossella. The couple fell in love and married in 2015.

“Five years together as life partners and business partners, they successfully built a loyal client base and recently expanded Audi Doctor into larger premises in Horton Street, Stockport.

“In 2016, their gorgeous son John-James was born and history repeated; their young boy regularly joining his Dad in the garage as their little helper.

“In memory of James and to provide a future for their son, Rossella Lowick is continuing to head up the Audi Doctor team, alongside senior technician Adrian, experienced mechanic Mike, new apprentice Oliver and tuning specialist James.

“Audi Doctor continues to provide the highest quality main dealer services and specialist performance upgrades at independent prices, to their clients across Manchester, Cheshire and beyond.”
