Coronavirus hinders ability to communicate with fans
IT is well over two months since the board of the Stockport County Supporters Cooperative met with representatives of the Stockport County board, to raise and discuss matters of common concern. Unfortunately, since then, the Covid-19 pandemic has pretty much decimated everyone’s ability to live life, and communicate effectively whilst doing it.
Staying alive has been the major consideration, and in common with other bodies, sporting or otherwise, like ourselves, the club has been impacted massively - and despite having meticulous plans in place, have been forced into survival mode.
In this respect we were happy to hear the club’s plans at our meeting with them on 4 March and whilst we have been anxious to share with you the details from same, which were entirely of a positive hue.
Due to the current pandemic, and the furloughing of club staff, which has probably impacted those plans more than somewhat, we have not received the club’s OK to release the meeting report as yet, and therefore have been unable to do so.
You will be aware that, seeking transparency, it is our usual practise to publish reports/minutes of meetings with the Club and Supporters Cooperative, and you were promised through this column prior to the meeting, that a report would feature shortly thereafter.
Due to the circumstances outlined above however, this has not been possible, and we extend our apologies for the absence of same on this occasion, along with an assurance that, when circumstances allow it we will try to ascertain the current and likely future situation as far as the club is concerned and pass what information we can onto County Supporters.
Meanwhile if you have any question to put to the Supporters Cooperative, please direct these to info@ countysupporterscoop. co.uk
