Helen Weedon: I used to drive out of Charcoal Road at that junction every evening, and I lost count of the number of near-misses I had.

●McDonald’s is reopening even more of its drive-thrus and McDelivery restaurants. Another 260 drive-thrus are opening today (June 4)

Elaine Nagle: Don’t forget the small businesses that have been delivering all through this. I sincerely hope that this lockdown has taught us to buy from independent cafes and takeaways. McDonald’s is a multinational and has deep pockets.
