Preparation underway for Cooperative AGM meeting

- IAN BROWN

AS Jim Gannon’s team start to emerge from lockdown and look to form themselves into a force to be reckoned with ahead of the coming season, the Supporters Cooperative are gearing up for the ‘big one’ ….their AGM in early November.

Whilst the exact date and venue are not yet decided, and indeed what format the meeting will take is still unclear, be it with members allowed in to deal with business or with the whole process transacted in virtual form via Zoom or some such format, there is a real desire within the current board of the Supporters Cooperative to keep the process moving along after many months of stagnation in terms of communication.

It is important for us to be affective at doing our job, of representing Stockport County supporters views and interests to the Club, so you are urged to contact us and make sure we know your views on issues. In this respect, as reported previously, we have commenced contacts with the

Stockport County Board, and are looking to follow up the recent, restricted numbers and Covid-19 precautioned, meeting between members of both boards, with further contact be it in person or via virtual means.

We asked a number of questions on behalf of members at the earlier meeting and we will be hopefully meeting the Club representatives fairly soon to outline who we are, what our function is as an organisation, and where we see ourselves in relation to the Club.

We are well aware that the Club’s new owners, like ourselves, need clarity, and may have many pertinent questions to ask of ourselves, and hopefully at our next meeting with them these areas can be fully and valuably explored. As usual we are contactable at info@ countysupporterscoop. co.uk
