●●HISTORIC Woodbank Hall could find a new lease of life as ‘affordable apartments’. (page 9):

Michelle Gaskell: Such a shame if made into flats should be saving these great buildings and all of Stockport’s history hope they save the mosaic tiles outside old BHS building to do with the Corn Wars history is all part of our heritage that sadly will be lost forever once its gone it can never be replaced we need to save it all so surprised the old Stockport Infirmary was never made in to a museum all about the history of Stockport could of been displayed there instead of separate places like what we have. Staircase house and hat museum for starters could have been under one roof. Gemma Louise: We need a nice cafe restaurant, visitor centre. Why encourage vehicles into a park used by so many elderly and children Well done Stockport council.

Leigh Collins: Personally I would hate to live there. All then dark woods surrounding my house! What will it mean for the park itself? Like dogs walkers push chairs. Like said above would be amazing for a cafe or something like Reddish Vale have? It’s a much loved park by many not sure apartments would fit there nicely.

●●REGENERATION chief defends move to press on with town centre offices scheme. (page 6):

Sue Treadwell: More bloody offices when reasonable social housing is in desperate need.

Barry Moult: Waste money all year round might as well waste some more. Raven Indigo Kaz: Housing please, since everyone working from home what’s the point? Jon Rimmer McKenzie: Just what we need more office spaces when the pyramid sits empty.
