Teenager hospitalis­ed after ‘vicious’ attack

A 14-YEAR-OLD boy was hospitalis­ed and left seriously hurt after being subjected to a ‘vicious’ attack.

The teenager was set upon as he spent a Sunday afternoon with friends near a park in Cheadle. He had been near Bruntwood Park with his pals when they were approached by three men on bikes.

The boy was attacked and had some of his possession­s stolen.

The three men fled and left the victim with serious injuries, which needed hospital treatment.

Police were called at about 3.30pm on Sunday, March 28. No arrests have been made, and officers are appealing for anyone with informatio­n to come forward.

On the GMP Cheadle & Bramhall Facebook page, officers said: “On Sunday 28th March 2021 at approximat­ely 03:30pm the victim, aged 14 years was walking along a pathway leading from Bruntwood Park on Bruntwood Lane, near to Turves Road in Cheadle with friends when they were approached by three unknown males on pedal cycles. The victim was subjected to a vicious assault while having belongings taken from their person. It is possible a number of witnesses may have been present in the area at the time and officers are keen to speak with anyone who may have informatio­n. No arrests have been made at this time and enquiries are ongoing.”
