Say ‘I do’ to picking out the perfect dress

-

WITH the easing of government restrictions, a wave of brides and grooms are preparing to finally celebrate their big day – with many choosing to bag a bargain outfit at a fraction of the usual price at a new Stockport charity shop’s bridal boutique.

The brand new St Ann’s Hospice bridal boutique on Great Underbank in Stockport centre has seen an influx of enquiries from brides to be, all keen to get their hands on one of the brand new, designer, preloved, or vintage dresses in store.

Christina Green, the shop manager, said: “People seem to be hearing about us from friends and family, and it’s amazing that so many are getting in touch already.

“There’s something for everyone to be honest, as we get a whole range of new and designer dresses donated regularly from bridal shops around the region, as well as having a huge range of vintage and pre-loved dresses too. We offer a Covidsafe appointment service and make the visit really special for the bride, and I think the fact that the purchase they make is also helping support hospice patients makes a real difference to lots of them too.

“The pandemic has made lots of people think about what’s important, and many people want to help others I think.”

The boutique has been relocated from the hospice’s shop on High Street in Cheadle.

To arrange a safe, socially-distanced appointment with the bridal team to try on dresses or discuss your needs, call 0161 222 0576, email stockport@ sah.org.uk or pop into the shop at 33 Great Underbank, Stockport.
