Summer jackpot is just ticket

-

THOUSANDS of people across Greater Manchester could be in with a chance of winning big in the St Ann’s hospice annual Summer Raffle.

The hospice, which offers care to thousands of local people and their loved ones each year, is giving away £5,000 to one lucky winner, alongside five runner up prizes of £50 and ten early bird prizes of a £10 gift card for M&S.

Entries start at £1 per ticket with the £5,000 prize winner announced on Monday, July 12.

The raffle will raise vital funds for the local hospice which celebrates its 50th anniversary, marking the moment the hospice first opened its doors to patients in 1971.

Lottery manager Trudi Ogden said: “Our Summer Raffle is a staple in our calendar, helping to raise vital funds that support all the work our teams do for the Greater Manchester community.

“Every ticket goes a long way and it couldn’t be a better year for supporters to take part in our raffle as we celebrate 50 years of care in the community.”

Last year, the charity sold 28,477 tickets, raising £16,951 after prizes were given to the lucky winners.

Final entries for the raffle close on Sunday, July 4, giving supporters plenty of time to be in the draw.

The charity provides inpatient care from its hospice sites in Heald Green and Little Hulton, and a range of community and outreach services to support thousands of patients every year with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
