Can you furnish traders with goods to keep up vital work?

ST ANN’S is appealing for donations of unwanted furniture to help them provide care to patients.

The St Ann’s Hospice Trading Company has shops across Greater Manchester, including its specialist furniture shop in Ardwick where it sells a range of new and pre-loved furniture items, electrical goods and homeware.

Amanda Brooks, Head of the St Ann’s Hospice Trading Company, said: “So many people have been having clearouts, or doing DIY over the lockdown period and we’d love to hear from anyone who has pieces of furniture or white goods they would be willing to donate.

“The shop in Ardwick is really popular, with customers looking for both new and pre-owned items for their home.

“We operate a free collection service, or people can drop items off at the shop too.

‘‘The money raised from the sale of the furniture helps the hospice to support local patients and their families, so as well as clearing space in your house, any donations really do make a difference to the lives of local people.

“We have a house clearance service too, so if you are moving, downsizing, or just have a garage or unit that you want help clearing, we can support you with that as well.

“We’re urging as many people as possible who may have items to donate to get in touch.

“We’d love to hear from you.”

St Ann’s cares for thousands of people every year from its hospice sites in Heald Green and Little Hulton, as well as via a range of other community and outreach services.

It is one of the oldest hospices outside of London and is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary.
