Sing heart out at workshop

- Lynn Duke

Anyone who likes to sing, even if it’s only in the shower, is invited to a day long workshop in Comrie on Sunday, June 19 at the White Church from11am to 4 pm.

Chris Grace, of Chris’s Gigs, is bringing a Harmony Singing Day with Ali Burns to the Shaky Village.

This is the first time for a while that the popular voice coach has visited the Strath and last time she attracted over 50 people to her workshop.

Chris told the Herald: “Those who know Ali and have been to one of her workshops before will know what inspiring fun they are.

“This is a way overdue workshop for Comrie and we’re thrilled it’s happening.

“Ali is an extraordinary motivator, teacher and songwriter, and arrives with only a tuning fork and a head full of songs and harmonies. She is able to make a disparate group of people sing like a choir in minutes. It will be an absolutely wonderful day.”

There also will be a pot luck lunch.

Chris added: “Bring something along to share with your fellow singers.

“The lunch has always been a really notable part of the day, and previous workshops have seen the table groaning with all kinds of delights. ”

The workshop costs £20 and tickets are available from Hansen’s Kitchen, Comrie Post Office and online at eventbrite.
