Bring sun cream and a plastic bottle you can fill up for free at the water points around the site and a rain jacket and warm clothing, especially for nights when it gets colder. Leave the flip flops at home, though, it’s a festival and you’ll be walking a lot, so wellies or walking boots are still essential.”

She added: “Remember to pack any medication you need over the weekend, including prescripti­ons, inhalers and diabetic medicines.”

Festival- goers were also encouraged to take a commonsens­e approach to navigating the site, such as taking a note of where their tent is pitched and approachin­g a steward if any problems are encountere­d.

She concluded: “Arrange meeting points with friends, make sure you all know where you’re going at the end of the night and drink responsibl­y.

“We are proud that T in the Park takes place on one of the most beautiful festival sites in the world, help us keep it that way.

“There is no excuse to drop litter or urinate anywhere other than the toilets.”
