- Sports Reporter

More awards have been handed out at Crieff Bowling Club.

Peter Smith was recently crowned gents’ champion, while Dennis Smith, William Guthrie and Derek Soutar formed the top trio in the club’s annual triples competition.

The recent presentation follows on from several other accolades being handed out off the back of another successful year at the Strath capital club.

Meanwhile, last week’s Crieff Bowling Club lottery numbers were 2, 8, 17, and 20.

There were no winners, meaning £ 1845 is carried forward to this week’s draw.

Comrie

Comrie Bowling Club recently held its annual charity game.

Various local bowling clubs took part, and a total of £941 was raised over the course of the day.

This will be split equally between the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) and the Comrie CoCo Bus.

A spokesperson said: “Grateful thanks is extended to everybody who took part.”

Dunning

Twenty four pairs entered Dunning Bowling Club’s Open Pairs Competion, which was sponsored by the Dunning Nisa store.

The winners were Alan Gardiner and Mo Burden. The runners-up were John Barrie and Liam Kelly.
