Menu unveiled for theatre

- Johnathon Menzies

From October 20-22, Morrison’s Academy Hall will be the venue for Crieff Drama’s popular supper theatre.

A two-course meal will be complemented by short comedies, each connected by the emotionallycharged topic of relationships.

The sketches, which precede the meal, begin with curtain-raiser‘The Bachelor’s Soliloquy’, followed by ‘Yesterday’by Colin Campbell Clements and ‘Countdown’by Alan Ayckbourn.

After supper, the one act ‘Alternative Accommodation’ by Pam Valentine will be performed – described as a“comedic eavesdrop on how one family’s decision-making does or doesn’t work.”

Curtain up is at 7.30pm. Doors and wine bar open at 7pm. Anyone heading along will be asked to pre-order menu choices when purchasing tickets.

Helen Day, Crieff Drama’s chair, said:“We have an outstanding supper menu choice this year.

“Three main courses – slow-cooked featherblade of beef, with a garlic mash of roast carrots and parsnips and red wine sauce; or roast fillet of salmon, fennel and new potatoes with a tomato vinaigrette; or the vegetarian dish, spinach and ricotta cannelloni in a tomato and basil sauce.

“To follow there is a choice of fresh fruit salad, or panacotta with a toffee drizzle or apple pie.

“And, to top it off, there’s tea or coffee to finish.”

Book via 01764 656375 or 01764 655678.

Tickets can be delivered to Carnelian Crafts in Comrie Street for collection.
