Sponsors are sought for Christmas trees

-

With December 25 fast approaching, Auchterarder businesses have been urged to sponsor a Christmas tree.

The Christmas Tree Festival, organised by the Auchterarder Bloom Association, takes place for the fourth time this year, and this year’s event promises to be better than ever.

Running from Monday December 5 until Christmas Eve, the festival sees trees planted by the Bloom Association and decorated with LED lights.

The organisers are delighted that the Auchterarder Parish Church have again agreed to host the event which is designed to promote local businesses and groups within the area and attract locals and visitors.

Each year the festival has attracted more than 1500 people - including 370 nursery and primary school children - to see the trees.

Businesses and community groups have the chance to sponsor a tree ahead of the festival.

They can decorate the tree to the theme of their business business or to convey a festive message.

The festival runs from 2pm - 6pm from Monday to Saturday up until Christmas, with entry costing £2 for adults, which includes teas, coffee and cakes. There will also be a range of special events including a show for children telling the story of the first Christmas.

Trees need to booked by November 21.
