Actor poses for photo after pooch stops him in his tracks

A Strath dog walker bumped into Hollywood superstar Gerard Butler after her boss’ pooch stopped the famous actor in his tracks.

Audrey Kerr met the 300 actor and a female companion while out walking on the banks of Loch Earn.

And the down-to-earth A-lister was more than happy to pose for a picture with Audrey who shared the snap with the Facebook page ‘Scotland from the Roadside’.

The image went viral, earning 4000 likes within two hours of being posted.

But Audrey didn’t realise who she had bumped into at first.

She said: “Dino started barking at a man and I went up and had to take the dog away from him.

“He’s quite strange with men, especially people with hats on.

“But they started clapping him and saying how gorgeous Dino was.

“It wasn’t until the man started talking that I said: ‘ You’re Gerard Butler.’

“He was really nice and really down to earth.

“They were fair taken with the dog and we stood and blethered for about five minutes.”

“If it wasn’t for Dino he could have walked on by and I wouldn’t have even known it was him.”

Dog-lover Gerard fussed over Dino – a cross between a Lhasa Apso and a Yorkie – and told Audrey that he had spent Christmas with family in Scotland.

The Scots actor, originally from Paisley, has starred in global blockbusters including 300, London has Fallen, Law Abiding Citizen and The Phantom of the Opera.
