Last two rounds at shooting league

There are only two rounds left of the Perth Small Bore winter shooting league.

Strathearn Rifle Club members Tom Harrison, Ashleigh Taylor and Steve Hannam have all improved their position over the last few weeks, while other members have generally maintained their positions in their leagues.

Current standings for Strathearn shooters are: Tom Harrison third place in League 2; Ashleigh Taylor second in League 11; Steve Hannam third in league 21; Billy Wells second in league 30; Mike Ivey third in league 24; Jim Fraser second in league 31; Derek Greenwood second in league 25 and Trevor Whiteley first in league 28.

The club team has moved up to fourth with two rounds still to shoot.

In the Brough Cup David Halley is through to the semifinal. All other shooters from the club have been knocked out.

In the internal air weapon competitio­n Nick Evens won the pistol section. The standing and bench rest competitio­ns will be completed by the end of March.

There are vacancies for 0.22 rim fire rifle shooters to join the club.

The club has its own rifles for members to use.
