SENIOR GOLFERS BATTLE AT ST FILLANS S

-

More than 60 golfers from clubs throughout central Scotland gathered at St Fillans on Thursday last week for their annual senior open.

Despite the warm, sunny conditions and a light breeze, which meant a lot of run for the balls along the dry fairways, scoring remained difficult.

The best overall net prize went to Mostyn Pugh, a local member, with a score of 69.

The best scratch score of the day was by Peter Nichol of Comrie Golf Club, with 74.

The club’s mixed open will be held on June 3 and entries are being invited from members of neighbouring clubs.
