Comrie’s Evelyn was the sculptor behind Towser

Having seen your interesting article on Towser, the famous cat of Glenturret Distillery and its catch of 28.899 mice in last week’s Herald, I was disappointed to see no reference to the sculptress, Evelyn Temple of Comrie who fashioned the splendid image of the cat.

This lady comes from an impeccable background having been taught by Scott Sutherland, the sculptor of the Commando Monument Spean Bridge!
