Village joy at seats
New floral planters and benches near the village church were admired by members of Dunning in Bloom and the Auchterarder and District Rotary Club.
On June 8, members of both groups met in Tron Square, Dunning, where one of two new wooden planter seats has appeared near the wall of St Serf’s Church.
Another provides a quiet resting spot at Burnside.
The decorative additions had been purchased with a donation from the Rotary Club and since going up the benches have been well used by residents of Dunning and visitors.
Last week Rotary president Derek Lumsden and members Ramsey Green, Fiona Mitchell and Trevor Williams were joined by Dunning in Bloom helpers Jane Young, Kay Williams, Colin Young, Frances Warren and photographer Simon Warren.
Due to the weather, the group went to the Tea Room at the community pavilion in the Rollo Park for refreshments.
