New MP Luke holds first of his surgeries
Strathearn dates have been set
Strath residents will get the chance to meet their new Member of Parliament in person this weekend and next.
Luke Graham will be holding surgeries in Auchterarder on Saturday at 10am and Crieff, Comrie and St Fillans on Friday, July 7 at 10am, 11.30am and 3pm respectively.
Mr Graham told the Herald: “It’s been a busy and exhilarating first few weeks in parliament.
“I am both excited and humbled to be your new MP. Excited by the opportunity to represent you all in parliament and to implement the ideas I have for Ochil and South Perthshire, while humbled by the faith you have placed in me to achieve progress on your behalf.
“I look forward to meeting you all in the months and years ahead. I was delighted to hold my first surgery in Alloa last Saturday. My first full round of surgeries have been released. In addition, the next round will be released shortly once I have finalised them, so watch this space!”
Mr Graham also intends to open an office in the Strath.
He added: “Since being elected I have received a great deal of correspondence on many issues, and from a variety of people, so my apologies if I haven’t got back to you yet. I have been prioritising those who have contacted me to raise pressing personal issues, but I intend to address all issues in due course.
“I am also planning to open a constituency office in Crieff and Alloa so I look forward to meeting you there, should you need to speak to me or my team on anything.
“Finally, thanks to those who have supported me at the General Election. I am determined to be as accessible as possible, whether by email, through surgeries, or even if you bump into me during one of my runs around the lanes of Madderty.
“Please don’t hesitate to get in contact as I represent you all whether you voted for me or not.”
