Summer tour for MP’s surgeries

- Ross Gardiner

Ochil and South Perthshire MP Luke Graham has announced the dates and locations of his summer surgery tour.

Over 40 surgeries have been planned allowing plenty of opportunities for constituents to meet with the Conservative Westminster representative to discuss personal or local issues.

Luke will be stopping for 41 surgeries across 33 towns and villages between August 11 and September 1, and is looking forward to engaging with people to find out local concerns.

He said:“Since being elected I have already held eighteen surgeries to date.

“I am pleased to have got around so much of the constituency, but I am determined to do even more and I am now looking forward to getting to some of the smaller villages as well.”

Mr Graham will be holding a mixture of open air and private surgeries, which he said he feels offers a mixture of accessibility and privacy depending on what his constituents need from him.

He added:“While‘surgeries’may sound odd, they are an opportunity for people to have a one-to-one meeting with their MP to discuss personal or community issues. I’m keen to give people the variety of options and locations.”

Surgeries will take place as follows: Saturday, August 12 - Strathearn Artspace, Crieff, noon-1pm; street stall, centre of Comrie, 2-3pm. Wednesday, August 16 - street stall, centre of Dunning, 3-4pm. Tuesday, August 22 - street stall, Gilmerton, 10-10.45am. Wednesday, August 30 - Blackford street stall, 2-3pm; Auchterarder street stall, 3.10-4.10pm.
