Sharon’s got talent at Crieff Hydro
Sharon McIntosh has moved into the role of talent manager under the Crieff Hydro umbrella.
Sha ron, pre v i o u s l y operations manager with the group based at the Hydro in the Strath capital, is responsible for recruitment and training in her new role – which has been created as part of what a spokesperson for the group described as a “refocusing” of the human resources department.
Now called the ‘ People Team’, the department is split into employee relations – focusing on traditional human resources – and talent management.
Sharon joins Janice Sneddon, also talent manager, in the new position.
She joined Crieff Hydro five years ago from Apex City Quay Hotel and Spa in Dundee where she was front of house manager.
Sharon has also worked at Old Course St Andrews and at hotels in the Middle East, where she was a consultant supporting the setting up of housekeeping departments.
She said: “Our family of hotels has grown over the last few years to its current portfolio of 10.
“That’s a whole lot of talent to nurture and develop, as well as ongoing recruitment.
“I’m thrilled to be undertaking this new journey.”
Crieff Hydro’s general manager Marcus Kenyon said he was “delighted” by the move.
He added: “Having worked with Sharon for a number of years and at three different properties, I know that one of the things she enjoys most about working in hotels is coaching and supporting staff.”
