Those with tickets for Crieff High School’s latest production are in for a musical treat.

School of Rock is playing at The Tryst at Strathearn Community Campus every night at 7pm until Saturday, and The Herald was lucky enough to get a sneak preview at the dress rehearsal on Tuesday night.

Based on the Paramount film, the all-pupil cast has been working hard on the show with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Glen Slater.

Tickets for the show are available from the reception desk at Strathearn Community Campus.

Campus leader, Christine Deeley, said: “Once again, Mr Griffiths and his team have chosen a production which has captured the imagination and enthusiasm of our young people.

“It has also given the opportunity to showcase an outstanding range of talent, not only on stage but in all of the highly skilled work carried out by the backstage crew and the media and marketing team. What is astonishing is that all this has been carried out in a relatively short period of time, highlighting the commitment and motivation of all those involved.

”A school show is not just about the event itself, of course, but the total experience which brings people together as a team, inspires leadership and confidence, and is often cited by our former pupils as one of the high points of their school days.”
