Free ticket offer to Croft cycle festival Special deal for local children

- Lynn Duke

Strath youngsters are being given a Christmas present from Comrie Croft.

Last week it was announced that the Cream o’ the Croft festival would be returning to the ecocamp site in 2018, with organisers Muckmedden releasing super early-bird tickets.

And in an added bonus for residents in the PH6 and PH7 areas, free tickets are being offered to local under-18s accompanied by an adult, while local adults can attend the whole festival weekend for £20.

Taking place at Comrie Croft from June 15 to 17, the festival promises to build on the successful fun-music-bikes and local food and drink formula of previous years.

It is expected to attract over 2000 visitors of all ages, from have-ago heroes to parents looking for a festival that will entertain the whole family.

As well as cycling there will be bands, kids’ entertainers and fun attractions.

Attractions will include the pedal-powered cinema and giant water slide plus a host of others still to be announced.

A smorgasbord of locallysourced food and drink will also be on offer over the weekend courtesy of the team at Hansen’s Kitchen and the Tea Garden at Comrie Croft, showcasing some of the world class produce available in the area.

The Croft’s Andrew Donaldson said: “In 2018 we want to say thank you for all the amazing local support we get and to celebrate the Year of Young People we thought what better way than to offer free tickets to local young people and children, and a very special deal for adults too.”

Festival passes can be purchased from the Comrie Croft Farm Shop or Hansen’s Kitchen in Comrie on production of proof of local residency (a utility bill or similar).
