Student faces trial on biting brother charge

- Court Reporter

A Strath student has maintained her not guilty plea to a charge of sinking her teeth into her brother’s hand - and then turning on a police officer and trying to punch him.

Eighteen-year-old Roseanna Dickie will stand trial at Perth Sheriff Court on January 17.

Dickie, who is from Auchterarder but gave her address as the University of Wales Trinity St David, Carmarthen, denied that on December 30 at her home in High Street, she pushed and then bit Jonathan Dickie to his injury.

A second charge alleges that she acted in an aggressive manner by repeatedly shouting and swearing.

The third charge claims that she then assaulted Sgt William Ross by attempting to punch him on the body in the house.
